5 Steps to R.E.S.E.T. Your Day

OK, this is something that plagues each and every one of us at some point.  You wake up, minding your own business, and something, maybe someone comes along and pushes your “Bad Day” button.  It can happen to the best of us. The key is to not let that button control the rest of the day.

What do you do next?

 The R.E.S.E.T. BUTTON!

Here we go…

Five simple steps to take control of that Bad Day and get back on the road to living life or whatever got interrupted.

Step 1.  RELAX  Yes, take a moment to check that stubbed toe, shake that fist, clean that mess up but then take a step back and Breath.  I mean literally take a few deep breaths to release the negative effects of the moment. Haven’t you heard the saying; OUT goes the bad air IN comes the good? Ever wonder where it came from? There are pages and pages that are devoted to the simple act of breathing. After you have exhaled enough, the emotion of the event can be diverted or eliminated if you choose.

Know however, that if you carry the Emotion of the situation forward, it will continue to influence future decisions. Try to recall the numerous times that you have fallen victim to a boss or co-worker who’s morning started out lousy, and the emotion of their mess kind of darkened the room when they came in. If you haven’t experienced that, then that negative person may be you! I’m just saying… It doesn’t have to be, if you relax.

Step 2.  EVALUATE… After you’ve calmed down a bit, think about the people and events to follow and decide whether or not you can afford to have a bad day. Say you are the boss, how much productivity can you expect from a partner or crew of people who may be fearful of communicating with you?  No communication means that somewhere someone is going to assume that they can take care of what you should have, and we know what happens when you assume! Therefore adding more stress to your already downward spiral. VALUE YOUR TIME! A bad day could cost you a lot in the long run. Is it worth losing a minute, hours or even a day to an instant moment of time that only has as much power as you give it?

Step 3.  SPEAK GOOD THINGS… It’s simple reasoning right? When you say you’re going to have a bad day, you usually do. So Say… “From this point on, I’m Having a great day!” Say it to yourself in the mirror until you can at least smile. Your words have power! I know there are some that don’t agree with this, but there are laws at work that affect you whether you recognize them or not. The law of gravity works whether you believe in it or not. The law of manifesting what you speak works – whether you believe in it or not.

Even if you don’t believe it, why take chances? Say the right things. If you can change your thinking and talking to be in line with how you want your day to be, then you are moving forward.

Step 4.  EXPECT THE CHANGE… Channel that little kid inside that believed the boo-boo felt better with a little kiss, you just told yourself that you are having a great day! BELIEVE IT! HAVE IT! NO MATTER WHAT!  This is the part a lot of people leave out. Call it what you want, belief faith or whatever; you just have to know that you have done everything in your power to set things straight. Therefore it is happening, not soon, not now but Right Now!

Step 5.  TAKE CHARGE… Here’s where your power comes in. Now that you’re previously bad day has been TRANSFORMED into a Great Day, remember your R.E.S.E.T. BUTTON, and use it throughout the day. The POWER is in the Option!  The power of options lies in their versatility. They enable you to adapt or adjust your position according to any situation that arises. Options can be as speculative or as conservative as you want. This means you can do everything from lying back down to… heck you get the point! The key is to exercise your options frequently. Then you have a choice in how your day is going to be, and no person, place or thing can tell you what to choose.

There it is.

Print this RESET BUTTON then tape to your bathroom mirror or your steering wheel or your desk. Use it to remind you of your Power to Choose.
